Santa Ride, Run, Ramble 2019
December 15, 2019 at 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Event Navigation
The Keepthebeat Santa event is a fun charity bike ride, run or walk, which has delighted many a participant and spectator since its inception in 2011. The 7-mile cycle route is a mix of off-road bridleways, tracks and road sections, suitable for mountain/hybrid/bmx type bikes. It is possible to complete the route on other less suitable type bikes but be prepared to walk with your bike on parts of the off-road route! The shorter 3-mile running/walking route is on pavement/road and cross-country. Please note that the walk/run route is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs on leads are welcome. Refreshments will be available at the finish. Each entrant will be provided with a Santa suit or elf suit (limited numbers for children), which must be worn at all times.
The entry fee is £10 for Adult and £5 for Children this is payable to Keepthebeat. Cycling entrants must be 16 or over on the day of the event. Juniors must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
We would like everyone taking part to try and raise at least £20.19 which will go directly to Keepthebeat (Registered Charity 1143119) who give hope and support to those affected by congenital heart defects. If you raise £50 or more you will be entitled to claim a Keepthebeat hoodie in the new year. You can download a sponsorship form here or you can set up a JustGiving fundraising page online.
Once your entry and payment have been received you will be sent full details about the event via the email address that you provide. If you do not receive your tickets please check your spam folder before getting in touch with a member of the team.

FAQs
I have missed the closing date for online entries - can I enter on the day?
If we have enough suits there will be limited spaces to enter on the day, but all entries will be charged at £15 (Adult & Children). We cannot guarantee or reserve spaces and will be strictly on a first come first served basis from 9am (subject to availability)
When do I get my Santa Suit?
Santa Suits are provided by the charity as part of your entry fee. Your suit is available to collect on the morning of the event from the charity Gazebo which will be in The Sycamores car park from 9am. Unfortunately we cannot make suits available before then.
What time does the event start?
The official start time is 10.30 am so we ask for everyone to gather in their Santa suit from 10.15am latest. The riders, runners and walkers are sent off separately so we need to be flexible around this
How can I collect sponsorship for the event?
Most people set up a fundraising page using this link
Alternatively the charity can email or post you a sponsor form if you are unable to download from here
Please contact us at info@keepthebeat.co.uk. Once you have collected sponsor money this can be handed in at the event or transferred to the charity at a later date using one of the methods here
How do I get my free charity hoodie?
After the event you will receive an email reminding you that if you managed to raise £50 or over you are eligible to receive a free hoodie. You will need to reply to this email and confirm how the funds raised has been collected and paid to the charity. You will then receive a code from the charity to obtain a free hoodie from the online shop. All codes are sent in February to give all fundraisers time to collect their sponsorship and complete payment to charity
Is there anywhere to store my bike at the finish?
We always arrange for there to be racking in the garden on The Anchor Inn. However we recommend you bring a lock to secure your bike at all times as we cannot be responsible for the security within the designated area.
Are you planning to have food and refreshments at the finish?
As well as the pub being open in time for the finishers and having a fully stocked bar, you will be able to purchase hot drinks and hot food from a number of suppliers at The Anchor Inn
